CoolSculpting© – The more affordable & less invasive competitor when compared to Sono Bello© is "freezing your fat" technology. Usually starts at $2,200 to $2,500 for one area and costs more as you add areas. We have heard reports as much as $5,000.   Many patients have reported to us and in online reviews that there is considerable discomfort during treatment. A "clamp" that works similarly to a breast mamogram is placed over the target area. The subcutaneous fat is then pinched between the clamp surfaces to freeze & kill the fat cells. Keep in mind that this may have to be done more than once during your appointment. Know what happens next? This process leaves your body bruised & swollen for a few weeks, but it takes from 3 - 5 MONTHS for the dead fat cells to be removed from the target area.

Complaints from patients:  Body left lopsided, or uneven. Loose/ flabby skin. Painful

Sono Bello© – The more expensive & more invasive competitor when compared to CoolSculpting© is a combination of surgical liposuction & HOT laser application. We have seen it offered from about $5,000  and it it goes up from there based on surgical fees and other fees that they add to the cost. There are plenty of online reviews to take a look at, but pay close attention to They do make you take pain drugs before surgery AND they insert an IV "just in case" something goes wrong. After surgery, you have to have someone take you home and watch over you a few days. They recommend you wear dark clothing due to bloody leakage at the incision sites. You have to wear a compression garment for 23 hours a day for 14 days with no bath for initial six days and then 12 hours a day for the next SIX WEEKS to reduce swelling & address loose skin.  We could go on and on. This is SURGERY and there are risks involved. There is downtime from work. 

Complaints from patients: Bloody leakage. Pain, soreness & time off from work. Takes about two months to notice full results.

Are Sono Bello© & CoolSculpting© permanent?  No. Just because you kill/ remove the fat cells, does not mean the fat will not come back.
